Our Cambridge NLP, Time Line Therapy(tm) and Hypnosis practice group

Monday, May 17th, 2010

Well, we had our second practice group on Saturday and had 20 people attending, half being practitioners and half interested guests. It was great to spend a whole day together sharing our thoughts and experiences together with ‘real life‘ practicing.

The great thing is that everybody learnt things about themselves.
Practitioners remembering what they thought they had forgotten and the confidence to show that it was still there, ‘in the muscle’, to our guests.

Our guests got quite a surprise to find out we were going to teach them some basic tools of NLP that they could take away with them and use them to change the way they feel and the real surprise ~ that they would learn a hypnotic induction and put a practitioner in trance and bring them back again!

What was nice for me was that having lunch together, our guests could ask questions freely, meet new and interesting people and it was a chance to hear how many different things our practitioner were achieving in both their social and business lives.

A great day for everyone and all for less than £20!

If by chance you have stumbled onto this posting and are interested in coming along either:

as a guest, that is someone interested in finding out more about NLP, Time Line Therapy(tm) and our Real Hypnosis

NLP practice group in Cambridge

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Last Saturday saw the re-surfacing of our NLP practice group.
Previously we met once a month, in the evening, but that seemed to restrict those who had to travel a distance. So we (Joseph & I) decided to change this to a Saturday and make it a whole day. This allowed us more time to refresh our knowledge in a particular area of NLP & Hypnosis and then do something completely new.

So what did we do last Saturday?

Firstly with some traveling over an hour to get here we had time to catch up and find out what we’d all been doing in the field of NLP etc. Just listening to all the different things we’d been doing and experiencing was really inspiring to do more and gave us all different ideas & things we too could do.

We went on to master our skills in questioning with a live project, a real person and based on a real issue.

After lunch we decided to find what would be some of the best states, behaviours and beliefs of being the best practitioner or therapist. Having refined this to something we could install in ourselves it was time for hypnosis and we installed all these wonderful and empowering resources into each other. So not only were we practicing inductions, installations we were creating change - real change.

In the next practice group we hope to bring along friends so they to can experience NLP, Time Line Therapy and Hypnosis and we can all learn. It’s also hoped we can find someone we can model. Someone who does something really well so we can learn how to do it too.

Who knows what exciting things we can find to do next?

Maybe we’ll see you there too.

Email me if you want to find out more paul@josephcloughtrainings.co.uk (our NLP, Time LIne Therapy and Hypnosis training)

I’m looking forward to the next one

Remembering to remember……?

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

Sometimes, I don’t know if this happens to you, you remember something special you seem to have forgotten that, for no particular reason, when you remember it you can’t work out why or how you could forget to remember something this or that special. (Now I know in those words there seems to be a bit of hypnotic language going on and there is.)

Well this happened to me just the other day.

I was thinking about a friend of mine and how I hadn’t been in touch with recently, which wasn’t the most friendly way to be. Not the thinking but the not being in touch.

At the same time of thinking I was just putting a book away I’d shown at our NLP practitioner training. It’s called the Soul Bird. A book for children but really is a wonderful message for all, especially us adults who forget to remember something special.

So the question I asked myself………………..

who have I forgotten to remember and remembering them, what can I do now to let them know I’m thinking of them……..now

Enjoy every heart beat

A GREAT weekend of NLP & Time Line Therapy

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Nearly 60 people attended our Reclaim Your Destiny Seminar and wothout our knowledge we had three people stand up in front of everybody and give some great testimonials of our trainings and the weekend. This blew us away, that people were prepared to stand up in front of everyone and say great things about us is both humbling and touching to us both.

Then, if this wasn’t enough, followed by some lovely feedback by emails.

We had made a great deal of effort to add new things to the weekend and modifications to previous things including having a computer graphic video made especially for us and I’m so pleased it was enjoyed.

If you have seen Joseph teach, you will know he is very, very good but this weekend he was special.

With Luke in charge of our special music and precision timing togehter with  knowing that our assistants Jason, Kevin, Tarik and Vince always on hand Joseph and I could relax and just present.

The challenge now is to improve on this
and
We have thoughts for new an exciting things for the future.

So if you haven’t already, sign up to our free video and audio on our websites here or here and we’ll be able to keep you informed of all that’s new.

Lastly Thanks again to all those who attended and made it a really special weekend.

Enjoy every heart beat

Cambridge Hypnotherapy ~ A driving Success

Monday, September 21st, 2009

Sometimes we, that’s me and you, forget how important changes we make or have made in our life are.
I was reminded of this just the other day when I received this via email of thanks.
Hi Paul, - Just to let you know that I passed my test. I was so relaxed about it all that I couldn’t believe that it was really me. It’s taken me 11 years of lessons and 10 failed tests, so I can’t thank you enough. It really has been the only thing I wanted in my life which I had never managed to achieve; so aside from the driving itself, it means a lot to me. I’ll give my instructor your details in case he comes across any other nervous drivers.” - EJ (Cambridge)

We believe here at Cambridge Hypnotherapy any change is possible if you really want it and are prepared to do whatever it takes. We find, with our clients, when you have these two things you will find a way and it’s easier than you can imagine.

Maybe it’s time to take the time to review our successes and remember how it/they felt
and
When you feel the way all your successes feel inside and holding on to that feeling begin to think of the things you want to change. I think you might just feel different about achieving them now. (Oops. I think I dropped in a little NLP technique there!)

Enjoy your every heart beat

Paul

What dreams do we dare not dream?

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

As we grow up we, well most of us, seem to turn into adults with adult outlooks. What I mean by this is that we tend to put up with what we have and settle for something less than we could have ~ if only we dared to dream.

Our beliefs, of what we can and cannot achieve or what we deserve in life, formed through our experiences and those around us can hold us back from truly living out our passions and experiencing the wonders of life that is our birthright.

Can we change this ~ you bet! That’s what we do here at Cambridge Hypnotherapy (one to one), on our Reclaim your Destiny Weekend (in a group seminar) and was the spark that turned into the flame in me to create my ‘Create Your Dreams’ website.

You see, once we open our beliefs to being deserving of what we desire we can begin the adventure of having and experiencing what we want for us and others in our lives.

I wonder what dreams (goals) you are holding back from yourself? What secret desires are you not sharing with yourself?

If you were to let go of those beliefs that have been holding you back it would mean you would have the freedom to dream and let your creative ‘juices’ flow. It doesn’t mean you have to follow them and have the best of your life could be, it simply means you have the choice to make them the way you want them. Not allowing yourself to dream is to have no choice at all.

For those who are still a little worried :( remember……

A spark (your dreams) can be fanned into a bright and wonderful flame which never goes out and is always under control because you are the fan.

I wouldn’t want you not to achieve your dreams to quickly!

and when is now a good time to start.

Enjoy your every heart beat

Thank You ~ and that feels like what?

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

How many times do we say thank you?

Yes we, well a lot of us, have read and try to have an attitude of gratitude and I’ve written about that and how to feel grateful. But what I was thinking about this morning, over my cup of coffee, do we say thank you to those close to us? The people in our lives that are there all the time.

Sitting in the morning sun, I realised, even with all my training and learning I haven’t said thank you enough. Yes when things were bad and they were there for me, you know the type of times, we’ve all had them, and I’ve thought it and even sometimes said it. But you see, it’s only in these times when we notice their acts of support and kindness.

What came to me, as I sat quietly, was ‘what about all the other times?’ When being themselves they were there too. That smile, that look or little action that goes unnoticed and so often unappreciated. The thing I found was that as I thought of this I begun to appreciate them in my life and how my life would be so much less without them in it. Yes, the little things add up to so much more than we can imagine if we don’t take time just to take the time and appreciate and feel grateful.

And it’s more than that ~ “What is?”

I know that being energy, that’s you and me and all those others, and therefore connected to everyone and everything our thoughts will go to those we think of. But what would happen if you took the courage to say “thank you” without wanting a response. Yes we would or could appear soppy, well in our minds, but would we. How would you feel if your father/mother/son/daughter came and said to you “Thank you ~ just thank you” and went about their day?

Would you think of them as ’soppy’? and how would you feel. Think about it now.

Hmmmmm……….. Maybe there’s something in this, it does feel……….

And then there’s-

How do you react when someone says thank you to you? Cast your mind back to a time when you gave someone something or did something for them and they said ‘thank you’. My bet is that more often than not you said something like “It was nothing” or “It’s only something small you probably won’t like it anyway” or words of than kind. When the reverse has happened to you how did you feel being told it was nothing?  Let’s think again, what does it/would it feel like to be told ~ “you’re welcome” or “It’s a pleasure - enjoy

Hmmmmm……….. Maybe there’s something in this, it does feel……….

So it’s not only saying thank you more often it’s also how you respond to being thanked that can make you feel a real sense of connection and let others feel that too. A few small words said with congruency can change both your day and those around you.

Thank you for listening with your eyes and your heart

A simple way to begin to create your dreams

Friday, May 1st, 2009

A long time ago, yes I know this sounds like a fairy tale, I wrote down a whole bunch of dreams. One in particular came true many years later, much to my surprise. Even more of a surprise was that when I had the opportunity to have it come true, I became concerned about actually being able to have it and even thought about not letting it happen. I felt if I got this now, then what? It was a little scary I have to admit.

So if you like me are fascinated by our dreams for the future and wonder how we can turn them from dreams to reality and enjoy having them become real then this might be for you ~ a simple way to start.

When you start looking for ways to do this you may find, like I did, there are so many different ways but all have a similar theme.

So I began to think what could I do to simplify this, if only to make a start.

You see, to me, a dream is really only a wish and wishes sometime come true and sometimes……..well they stay a wish. To change a dream into something you experience, when you want to experience it, it has to have action. You need to know what that dream really means to you, what will it be like to have it and what else will it effect in my life.

This sounds heavy (if sounds have weight?) so I wanted to have something that was easy to do and made me feel good as I did it

.

Try this out.

Think of one of those dreams you have and starting easy pick the BIGGEST.

Write it down, go on be brave no one’s looking!

Then write down what would having achieved that dream mean to you, and repeat this a few times… what else would it mean to me and what else etc.

Now if after this it really does mean a lot to you, write down all the things you would be doing and enjoying already having got this dream.

If this makes you excited about creating this dream pick one of those things you will be doing and begin to get doing it. Go on! Take the first step and follow your intuition. Then the next thing and then the next and so on.

I know for all those experts out there this is way to simple and I agree. In our trainings using NLP and Time Line TherapyTM and working with clients we go into this much deeper and for those of you who just want to dip your toe into making your dreams come true this is a great and simple way to start.

I’d love some feedback on how you found this process and how motivated you were/are to begin bring about the creation of your dreams into your life

Joseph Clough through to the last 12 ~ Britains next top Coach

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

In a few days time Joseph and I are off to Cheltenham to the semi-finals of Britains Next Top Coach. As you can see by the title Joseph has been chosen to be in the last 12 of the competition.

So hopefully he can show everyone his undoubted (in my opinion) skills. In any event this is a great achievement for one so young (and special to this work).

Like both Luke, one of his brothers, and I he is not only talking the talk but getting great results walking the walk with NLP, hypnosis, time line therapy and our own developments of these.
